Ineos Automotive exists because Sir Jim Ratcliffe wanted the old Land Rover Defender back and decided to build it himself. The Grenadier is the result: a ladder-frame, live-axle expedition 4x4 with BMW straight-six power, up to three locking differentials and a cabin of aircraft-style switches — deliberately mechanical where modern SUVs are digital.
