True Motion Auto aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines across the site, covering keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, color contrast and readable text sizing. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix — if you hit a barrier on any page, report it through our contact form and we'll prioritize a fix.
Key points at a glance
| Area | Our approach |
|---|---|
| Standard targeted | WCAG 2.1 Level AA |
| Keyboard navigation | All interactive elements (menus, calculators, forms) reachable without a mouse |
| Screen readers | Semantic headings, alt text on informational images, labeled form fields |
| Color and contrast | Text and UI elements meet minimum contrast ratios; color is not the sole way information is conveyed |
| Reporting a barrier | Contact form, reviewed and prioritized by the editorial/engineering team |
Our commitment
We want every guide, calculator and comparison on True Motion Auto to be usable regardless of how you access the web — with a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, or assistive technology. We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our baseline standard across new and updated pages.
What we've built in
- Semantic heading structure (H1/H2/H3) so screen readers and other assistive tech can navigate a guide's outline
- Keyboard-operable navigation, forms and calculators, without requiring a mouse
- Descriptive alt text on informational images and charts; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them
- Text and interface color contrast meeting WCAG AA minimums, with information never conveyed by color alone
- Resizable text that doesn't break page layout when a reader increases browser font size
Known limitations
Some embedded third-party tools (certain calculators, comment widgets) may not fully match our accessibility standard yet, since they involve external components. We track and prioritize fixes to these as they're identified.
Ongoing work
Accessibility isn't a one-time project — we review new templates and features against WCAG 2.1 AA before launch and periodically audit existing pages, prioritizing fixes based on how many readers a barrier affects.
If you encounter a barrier using any page, tool or feature on True Motion Auto, please tell us via our contact form, including the page URL and what happened. We review every report and prioritize fixes.
