The Photo Showcase is a continuously updated public gallery pulling from approved Owner Photo submissions, organized by model and sortable by newest or most-liked. Any photo meeting the standard Owner Photo Submission Guidelines is eligible; there's no separate application, but photos that also get pulled into Car of the Month or a Customization Story get additional homepage placement on top of their Showcase listing.

How a photo ends up in the Showcase
Any photo you upload that passes the standard Owner Photo Submission Guidelines — original, correct resolution, plates blurred, tied to a logged Garage vehicle — is automatically eligible for the Showcase. There's no separate showcase-specific application; approval through the standard moderation queue is the only gate.
How the gallery is organized
- Primary organization is by model, so a shopper researching a specific car can see real owner photos of it directly.
- Within a model, sort by "Newest" or "Most liked."
- A separate "Editor's picks" strip surfaces standout photos across all models, chosen by the community team.
Liking and engagement
Any registered account can "like" a Showcase photo; likes drive the "Most liked" sort but don't affect anything else — unlike review votes, there's no minimum threshold before a like count displays, since this is a lighter-weight engagement signal than a review ranking.
| Feature | Showcase-only photo | Also in Car of the Month | Also in a Customization Story |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appears in model gallery | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Homepage placement | No | Yes, if winner | Only if story is featured |
| Requires Verified Owner | No | Yes | No |
Removing a photo
You can remove your own photo from the Showcase at any time from your Garage or account media page; removal is immediate and also pulls it from any "Editor's picks" placement, though it won't retroactively un-feature a Car of the Month win that already ran.
"Editor's picks" selection is discretionary and based on photo quality and variety across the gallery, not a guaranteed rotation — submitting a technically compliant photo doesn't guarantee an editor's-pick placement, only Showcase eligibility itself.
Tips for photos that perform well
- Natural light and a clean, uncluttered background beat a dark garage shot every time.
- A variety of angles (not just the standard three-quarter front shot) stands out in a crowded model gallery.
- Detail shots — wheels, interior stitching, a specific mod — often outperform another generic exterior photo.
