Fiat
Fiat perfected the small car twice — the original 500 and Panda made mobility Italian — and today's brand still lives in that space. The electrified 500 carries the retro flame, while the new Grande Panda (hybrid or EV, from under £19,000) revives the boxy-charm formula on Stellantis's budget platform, twinned with Citroën's C3. Fiats sell on design warmth and city-sized practicality; motorway refinement and residuals trail rivals, and the brand's larger-car history in Britain is chequered. As cheerful urban transport, though, Fiat remains hard to out-charm.
