Gas Blazer in late 2026: production ends, with no 2027 model
The gas Blazer is entering a planned pause. The Detroit Free Press reported in April 2026, and GM Authority confirmed in May, that production of the current combustion Blazer at Ramos Arizpe, Mexico is scheduled to end on September 30, 2026, and that GM is not offering a 2027 gas Blazer at all. A refreshed 2028 gas Blazer then moves production to Spring Hill, Tennessee, with regular output planned for the first half of 2027. For shoppers that means the 2026 cars on dealer lots — starting around $34,300 for the 2LT, with the 228-hp 2.0-liter turbo or the RS's optional 308-hp 3.6-liter V6 and towing up to 4,500 pounds — are the last of this generation.
