Preference Centre: Manage Every Email, Alert, and Notification in One Place

The single settings page behind every unsubscribe link on True Motion Auto.

Notifications Personalisation and CRM Region: Global Updated July 2026 By the True Motion Auto editorial team
Quick answer

The Preference Centre groups all communications into 5 categories — Account & transactional (cannot be turned off), Community notifications, Marketing & offers, Dealer communications, and Research digests — each with its own on/off toggle and, where relevant, cadence and channel controls. Changes to email and in-app settings apply within 24 hours; changes affecting phone/SMS consent are honored within 10 business days under current FCC rules, and a direct "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link sits at the bottom of the page.

Why one page instead of per-email unsubscribes

Every marketing and community email footer links here rather than to a one-off unsubscribe, so a single change is reflected everywhere at once instead of requiring you to opt out of five separate flows individually.

The five categories

  • Account & transactional. Password resets, security alerts, order/lead confirmations. Always on — these aren't marketing and can't be disabled while your account is active.
  • Community notifications. Comment replies, mentions, moderation outcomes, digest cadence.
  • Marketing & offers. Wishlist reminders, re-engagement campaigns, general promotions.
  • Dealer communications. Consent-based contact from specific dealers (see Dealer Lead Follow-Up Consent Flow) and offer alerts.
  • Research digests. Community digest, recommended content emails, review roundups.

Timing rules

Email and in-app preference changes take effect within 24 hours. Because SMS/phone consent is governed separately under FCC telemarketing rules, changes to those channels are honored within 10 business days — slower, but consistent with the regulatory standard rather than an arbitrary internal delay.

Privacy controls on the same page

A "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link, required under California's CCPA/CPRA framework, sits at the bottom of the Preference Centre alongside a link to the full Privacy Friendly Personalization Rules page. These apply regardless of your marketing preferences above — you can stay opted into offers while still opting out of data sharing for cross-context advertising.

Watch out

Turning off Account & transactional emails isn't possible while your account is active — if you want to stop all communication, deactivating or deleting the account is the correct path, covered separately in account settings.
