Community Digest Personalization: Building Your Weekly Recap

How the community digest is assembled from what you actually follow — not a generic newsletter.

Notifications Personalisation and CRM Region: Global Updated July 2026 By the True Motion Auto editorial team
Quick answer

The default community digest sends weekly on Sundays at 8am in your local time zone, built from your followed models/brands, saved searches, and forum threads you've participated in — never from content unrelated to your activity. You can switch cadence to biweekly or monthly, turn off entire sections (e.g., forum activity but keep reviews), or unsubscribe completely, all from one settings screen.

What goes into the digest

The digest pulls only from things tied to your account: models or brands you follow, saved searches with new matches, and forum threads you've posted in or upvoted. It does not include generic "top stories" filler unless you explicitly opt into a "Community highlights" section.

Cadence and suppression rules

  • Weekly is the default; biweekly and monthly are available in one click.
  • If nothing relevant happened in a period — no new matches, no forum replies — no digest is sent at all, rather than padding it with filler.
  • The digest is suppressed for a week if you've already received 3 other transactional or alert emails in the prior 48 hours, to avoid inbox pile-up.

Managing it

Every digest footer links directly to the settings screen where you can change cadence, toggle sections, or unsubscribe — the unsubscribe link works in one click and is honored immediately, not on the next scheduled send.

Watch out

Turning off all four sections doesn't formally unsubscribe you — it just means you'll never receive a populated digest. Use the explicit unsubscribe link to stop the digest entirely, including the empty-digest check itself.

Frequently asked questions

Why didn't I get a digest this week?
If none of your followed models, saved searches, or forum threads had new activity, no digest is sent — we don't pad it with unrelated content.
Can I get the digest monthly instead of weekly?
Yes, choose Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly in the digest settings screen.
Can I turn off just the forum section and keep the rest?
Yes, each of the four sections can be toggled independently.
Does unsubscribing from the digest affect other emails?
No — it only stops the community digest; alerts like Price Drop or Saved Search continue unless separately turned off.
What time does the digest send?
8am in your account's local time zone on your chosen cadence day.
