Nissan says official pricing, market specifications and pre-order information are expected from December 2026, with customer deliveries beginning in early 2027. That means the biggest financial questions are not fully settled yet, including exactly where UK versions will sit within the expected price range.

Auto Express names the Honda Super-N, Renault Twingo, Dacia Spring, Volkswagen ID.up! and BYD Dolphin Surf as rivals. Nissan PIXO range, charging and running costs

For rapid charging, Nissan confirms that 50 kW DC charging is standard. Auto Express says the PIXO can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in about 28 minutes at up to 50 kW. Electrek also reports a roughly 28-minute DC charging time, but does not attach the same 10-to-80-per-cent window to that figure. That is the one important difference in how the charging claim is reported.

Auto Express additionally reports AC charging at up to 11 kW, along with vehicle-to-load bi-directional charging. Nissan lists One Pedal technology among the PIXO's official highlights.

For shoppers focused on electric-car running costs, these specifications help explain the type of use the PIXO is designed around, but the brief does not provide a cost-per-mile figure. The relatively compact battery, city-car positioning and charging specifications are therefore more useful at this stage for comparing practicality than for calculating a precise ownership cost.

The PIXO's dimensions underline its city-car role. Electrek reports a length of 3,796 mm, width of 1,790 mm and height of 1,512 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,492 mm. Auto Express describes the car more simply as just under 3.8 metres long.

Despite that compact footprint, Auto Express reports a 356-litre boot with the rear seats in place and 1,221 litres when they are folded. Auto Express also says there is an under-floor section intended for charging cables. Nissan lists independently sliding rear seats among the car's official highlights, giving buyers another way to adjust the balance between passenger and luggage space.

Technology is another prominent part of the specification. Auto Express reports a 10-inch central touchscreen with Google built-in navigation and the Gemini assistant, which it says is a first for a Nissan model. Auto Express also reports a 7-inch driver display and physical climate-control dials.

Nissan itself confirms Google built-in connectivity including Gemini among the PIXO's headline features. That means the small-car positioning does not translate into a stripped-back connectivity package, at least from the equipment highlighted so far.

For a UK buyer comparing small electric cars, the practical package may matter as much as the headline range. The dimensions reported by Electrek establish a genuinely compact footprint, while the boot capacities reported by Auto Express suggest Nissan has still prioritised usable luggage space.
