We use AI tools heavily — for research assistance, drafting and editing — under human direction and review. Our illustrations are AI-generated and labelled as such on the image. We do not present AI illustrations as photographs of real cars.
How AI is used here
Being straightforward about this matters more than sounding impressive. AI tools assist with research gathering, drafting, structuring and editing across this site. A human sets the brief, checks the facts against the primary sources listed in our review methodology, and is accountable for what publishes.
What that means for accuracy
AI systems can state wrong things fluently, so every factual claim — prices, power outputs, economy figures, safety ratings, recall numbers — is checked against a manufacturer, regulator or named publication before it appears. Where we could not verify something, we either leave it out or flag it as unconfirmed. If we get something wrong anyway, we correct it and say so.
Images
Two kinds of image appear on this site. Licensed and press photography shows real, specific vehicles. AI-generated illustrations are used for concept and context imagery — a charging scene, a workshop, a road at dusk — and every one of them carries an "Illustration generated with AI" credit on the image itself.
We do not generate images of real badged vehicles and present them as photographs of that car, fabricate documents, or use AI to invent people, testimonials or quotes.
Why we publish this
Readers are entitled to know how what they are reading was made. Disclosing AI assistance does not lower the standard we hold ourselves to on accuracy — it is the same standard, stated plainly.
