How the feed differs from general recommendations
True Motion Auto runs two related but distinct systems: the Auto Recommended Content Rules engine (site-wide, based on browsing behavior) and the My Garage personalized feed (narrower, based only on things you've explicitly saved, followed, or searched). The Garage feed is the more conservative of the two — it won't show you a car category you merely glanced at once.
What determines what you see
- New matches to your saved searches.
- New reviews, price changes, or spec updates for followed models.
- Comments or replies on threads you've participated in.

Diversity and freshness rules
No more than 40% of a single feed screen can come from one content type (e.g., all reviews, or all price alerts) even if that's where most of your activity is — this keeps the feed from feeling one-note. Items older than 7 days are deprioritized in favor of fresher updates, though nothing is hard-deleted from the feed; older items simply sink lower.
Resetting or adjusting
The feed itself has no separate on/off switch — it reflects your Follows, saved searches, and dashboard widgets directly, so adjusting those (see Custom Dashboard for Saved Interests) reshapes the feed. Removing a follow or saved search stops that source from feeding the feed within one refresh cycle (up to 24 hours).
Because the feed refreshes at least once every 24 hours even without a login, unfollowing something in the evening may not visibly change your feed until the next day's refresh.
