The range opens at £32,995 for the 58.3kWh Air (270 miles) and tops out around £43,000 for the GT-Line S Long Range; all versions use a 201bhp front motor.
Practicality holds up its end: a 460-litre boot, generous cabin storage, and standard vehicle-to-load power for camping kettles and power tools.
The honest assessment
The EV3 feels like a bigger car — refined at speed, big-screen tech straight from the flagship, grown-up ride — and that maturity is its character; excitement isn't. It's front-drive only with no performance variant yet, the over-eager driver-assist chimes irritate until configured, and Euro NCAP's dual rating deserves attention: four stars standard, five with the optional Safety Pack — spec-sheet diligence required if the certificate matters.
Against the Renault Scenic (its closest value rival) the Kia counters with better charging behaviour and the longer warranty; the Renault answers with cabin tech and price. That pairing is the segment's real final.
The questions buyers actually ask
Standard or Long Range? The Long Range at £35,995 is the sweet spot and the reason to buy an EV3 at all — 100+ extra miles for £3,000.
EV3 or Scenic? Warranty and charging pick Kia; Google cabin and list price pick Renault. Families can't lose either way.
Air or GT-Line? Air Long Range maximises the range headline; GT-Line spends range on style. Air is the connoisseur's choice.
