The honest assessment
The Roxx's achievement is breadth: genuine trail hardware wearing a panoramic roof, ADAS and a family-acceptable ride. The costs: top variants pass ₹28 lakh on-road, boot space is modest behind the usable second row, 4X4 demands the expensive diesel trims, and the queues mean paying list and waiting — leverage sits with dealers.
Against a Scorpio-N (more space, similar money), the Roxx trades practicality for identity; against a Jimny or Gurkha, it's simply the more complete product.
The questions buyers actually ask
Roxx or three-door Thar? Unless the shorter car's look is the purchase, the Roxx is better at everything else. The three-door is now the collector's choice.
Petrol or diesel? Off-road intent or high mileage: diesel (and it's the 4X4 path). Urban image-first buyers: the petrol AT is sweeter and cheaper.
