The Celerio's strengths are exactly what a city hatch needs: feather-light controls, tight dimensions, the AMT's convenience in traffic, running costs nothing non-electric matches, and Maruti's service network within reach of everywhere. Six airbags are now standard across Maruti's range — a genuine upgrade to the safety baseline.
The file to read honestly: Global NCAP (2025) rated it 2 stars for adult protection with dual airbags, improving to 3 adult / 2 child stars in six-airbag form — progress, not parity, against a Tata Tiago's stronger structure. Interior plastics and feature depth also trail the Tiago at overlapping money. Highway refinement is the other known cost: 67PS works hard past 100 km/h.
For high-mileage city commuters — especially CNG users doing the fuel-cost math — the Celerio remains close to unbeatable on pure economics.
