Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki is Indian motoring's default setting: roughly two of every five new cars sold, a service network reaching places rivals don't map, and resale values that function like currency. The Swift, Dzire, WagonR, Brezza and Ertiga dominate their segments; the Grand Vitara and Invicto stretch upmarket with Toyota-shared hybrids; and Maruti's CNG range leads India's running-cost race. The 2025 move to six airbags across the range answered its biggest criticism — crash-test credibility — though premium cabin feel remains rationed. For lowest total cost of ownership, Maruti is still the answer sheet.
